Chika joined IBP in March 2022 as a Senior Programme Officer for the Strengthening Taxation in Africa for Transparency and Equity (STATE) Project in Nigeria.
Before now, Chika has worked for years in various capacities in the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development (FCDO)’s flagship governance programmes in Nigeria – the State Accountability and Voice Initiative (SAVI) and the Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn (PERL). During this period, she worked with several multi-stakeholder partnerships and platforms advocating on tax reforms, gender, disability, budget, health, education, agriculture, media engagement, local governance, legislative engagement, and many more. She has worked in the major regions in Nigeria and is skilled at working with diverse groups. Chika has a Master’s Degree in Development Studies and Degree in Adult Education and Community Development.
