The Openbudget Survey team recently hosted civil society organizations in Kampala, #Uganda for a “Collaborating for an Open and Accountable Budgets (COAB)”, 5-day capacity-building workshop in collaboration with CSBAGUGANDA, and funded by the EU Commission.
The workshop covered subjects such as the Legal and Policy Framework for improving Budget Transparency and Accountability, the Role of Parliament in the National Budget Process & Opportunities for CSOs Partnership, and the Relevance of Audit in an Open and Accountable Budget Process and CSO Utilization of Audit Reports, among others. Participants were presented with certificates of completion at the end of the training.
